hawaii, part three.

Our last two days in Hawaii were spent relaxing and indulging on papayas and delicious sushi, as well as going on a gruelling hike under the hot Hawaiian sun. We ventured out to Chinatown on our second last day in Hawaii and ate dim sum there. Before venturing home, we picked up some more papayas at Kekaulike Market, which actually was used as a set for Cameron Crowe’s latest project with Emma Stone, Bradley Cooper, Bill Murray, and more not too long before our arrival in Hawaii. Pretty neat! That evening, we decided to try Yoshitsune, located in the Park Shore hotel. If you’re looking for fresh sushi, definitely check this place out.

To start off our last day in Hawaii, we decided to do the Diamond Head hike. The only hike I’ve ever done was on my last trip to Hawaii and it was a lava hike at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Can you imagine me doing an uphill hike? Good thing I brought a pair of running shoes because the path was super uneven. We made it up after numerous staircases and a dark tunnel, and I was drenched in sweat but the view is pretty spectacular from the top. I guess it made up for all the sweat… After the hike, I rested and tanned on the patio, while my parents went to check out the Ala Moana Centre. We dined at Hy’s Steakhouse for dinner and let’s just say that we were all in food comas after that meal.

That’s a wrap on this Hawaii trip! I had a blast and I was so happy to get some warmth and sunshine in the wintertime. Although I haven’t any idea where I’ll go next, I’m already looking forward to my next trip. Cheers! x
