eurotripping: london.

Major apologies for the huge delay on getting this final post about my big trip to Europe this past summer! I’ve been swamped with schoolwork and I just barely survived my busiest two weeks of the semester. So, without further ado, here’s the final stop on my trip: LONDON!

I love London. It’s one of my favourite cities in the world and this was my second visit to this great city. Although I mostly did things that I hadn’t done on my first visit, I obviously had to make a visit to the Tate Modern. Lots have changed since it’s in the process of expanding, so there wasn’t any access to the Turbine Hall (bummer).

Visiting London also meant I finally got to have Chinese food after two months without. You guys don’t understand how happy I was. And when I hung out with my friend, Josh, we even got bubble tea. On that note, it was so great to finally meet Josh in person! It’s actually a weird story, but we both went to Leeds Uni and he was my friend’s housemate. We never actually met in Leeds but we were always in contact on Twitter, as we are both avid figure skating fans and fashionistas. I also got to meet up with Shem, a ex-coworker of mine during my short stint at Zara many years ago.

Other cool things that I got up to in London: checking out The Cripple of Inishmaan with Daniel Radcliffe and getting to see Atoms For Peace at the Roundhouse. I’ve never seen Radiohead live, so seeing Thom Yorke, Flea and co. was the next best thing.

And yes, I was actually in London for the birth of the royal prince! It happened when I was out and about with Matthias and the Tower Bridge was lit up a gorgeous royal blue  to celebrate the birth. Pretty neat! I didn’t even realize why it was blue until a month later when I was chatting with a retired colleague of mine at work.

And that’s that for my Eurotrip posts! Hope you have enjoyed the photos and the posts. I know where and when my next trip will be, but I’ll be keeping my lips sealed until then.

Cheers! x
