Journal

on the side.

I apologize for the lack of updates recently.  I can’t really say I’ve been busy because honestly, I don’t really know what I’ve been up to.  Most of the past while since my last update has consisted of classes, attempts to do readings, attempts to research co-op jobs, and planning short trips around Europe.  Oh and eating way too many of these Marks & Spencer dutch shortcake biscuits…  I couldn’t help but buy 4 packs because they sell them as packs of two for only £1.29!

There’s so many things that I should be doing… but clearly, I’m not.  I’ve got a billion readings to do, reading responses, and I’ve got to start a 3000-word paper that’s due on October 27th.  Twenty-seven days to research and write this thing.  I’m praying that I don’t leave it to the last minute (i.e. the day it’s due) and that there’s still books in the library when I hit it up in the next couple of days.  Apart from all this school stuff, I’ve also got to start applying for co-op positions or else I won’t get place for the Spring 2012 semester.  So much to do and too much time wasted…  I must get back into “hard-worker” mode as soon as possible.

Now onto the more exciting stuff: SIDE TRIPS.  I don’t think I’ve mentioned anything on this blog yet, but I’m going to Amsterdam and Prague in November!  Everything is booked for those two weekends away and I’m getting so excited.  Also in the works is a week-long trip to both Stockholm and Copenhagen right after the end of classes in December.  I’ve planned out all the costs for transportation and hostels, and I only need to book everything now.  At the moment, it seems like no one wants to join me so I’ll guess I’ll be going by myself.  I’m also trying to figure out trips to a bunch of other places but I just don’t have the money nor do I have the time.  Because, really now, I’m technically in England to “study” abroad not to be travelling and using up what’s in my bank account.

Well, enough for now.  I’ve got a lot of stuff to catch up on so that’s it for now.
Cheers!
